Canada Council for the Arts

  • A Simple Solution

    • Description: A dark comedy thriller set in Tehran, directed by Mehrtash Mohit, exploring the moral dilemmas of three estranged sisters as they navigate the deadly consequences of a nervous breakdown amidst societal and political strife

    • Description: A narrative short about Hana who alongside her father and their loyal dog Ronaldo, embarks on a perilous journey to escape conflict, navigating treacherous landscapes and the depths of human resilience in search of a place to call home.

  • Selected as one of ten promising Canadian filmmakers by the Irving Avrich Fund at TIFF (2024).

     

  • Selected as one of five directors for the 2022 CFC Director’s Lab Cohort.
